About Me

My photo
Bonnie Blaylock Oil Painter
In 1998 I retired from General Motors, located in Kokomo Indiana after 30 years of service.. For Christmas that year I asked for and received an easel. The best gift I was ever given. My husband, Joe and I then decided to move to Foley Alabama in 2002 to get out of snow shovel land, Since the move I joined the Foley Performing Arts Association (now known as Foley Art Center) and shortly after was offered part time work. In 2008 I was offered the job of Director and did that Job until December 1 of 2014.The job was the best thing to happen to an aspiring artist. I met professional painters such as W.D. Thompson, Elizabeth Blaylock and took their workshops as often as I could. Then in 2006 I began teaching Beginning Oils and Acrylics, Painting Parties and learned even more by teaching. I also give demos to groups, large of small, about painting, selling your work, framing and mixing color and give tips on how to save money while making money. My classes are kept small and my students are given the attention they are due. I feel I have had great success.in both teaching and learning
